Surprised nobody has mentioned it yet but 1st mod should be gauges, boost and pyro. Then I'd go 4" exhaust, fuel pin and 3200 gov spring. I wouldnt worry about the injectors unless you plan on over 350hp, the non ic injectors can put down some power.

Good plan.
I would go one step further right from the git go & add an IC or water/meth before cranking up that pump or adding a fuel cone.

Well been really busy lately and haven't gotten the chance to do much work on this truck. I have a pile of parts sitting waiting to go in!!! KDP kit, Full set of gauges (boost, pyro, trans). Fuel pin and spring, 4" diamond eye and I have some injectors but not going to put them in just yet. Want to see how she runs first with the other stuff.
I am thinking I want to keep as much as a factory stock appearance as possible, just because it is so clean and I am keeping it more as a collectible.

I want to add an intercooler but do not want to change the appearance of the truck, is there a way to keep the original grill? I know a lot of people swap out for later model grills. I also have working factory air. I would like to keep that in tact also.
Once things calm down with overtime at work I will really start getting things moving here.
I am also in the middle of rebuilding my '07 transmission with all Goerend parts!!

Just about to start tearing her down to build her back up again! Thought I would share the last few pics before I start. I'm hoping I don't regret it! She is so perfect the way she is but I just can't resist a lift, exhaust, new rubber and some performance mods!

First thing I would sctach off that list is the lift. I think they look so much better without. I loved the stance my 91.5 had with just the 33x12.50's, kinda the "short and stout" look.

I need all new springs anyway so I'm gonna give her a 2 1/2 inch lift. And Only plan on 33's or maybe 315's.

if you stick with a smaller lift and 33s, not as much need for crossover steering too. i just reinforced the frame behind my steering gear and been good for a couple years now.

The 89 would have the 4" rear blocks. later trucks had the 6" blocks.

I ran 315s on my '85 W-350 SRW crew cab 12 years ago, with no lift as well. I now have 6 inches of lift and lightly cut our front fenders for the 37X13.5s to fit well.

Yes they do! I am definitely doing the 2 1/2 lift. Now I just need to figure out tires size. I want as big a tire as I can with no fender trimming or any rubbing at all. The truck is way to clean to start hacking fenders.
I would really like the 315's but wasn't sure they would clear with no rubbing. I know the 33's will fit.
I have the 35's on my '07 Maybe I can give them a try first, after the lift is in, before I decide.
