Brambles,
where are you out of?
The one post you made reference to Canada, so now I'm curious.

Yup, I'm smack dab right in the middle of you two. Can't get more specific cause if Thrashingcows finds out where I found my truck he'll probably come hunting me

Thanks again

P.S. The guy wants $1000 for everything so I think its a good deal, most adds up here in Canada guys are wanting anywhere from $3500- $4500 depending on year and milege for just the motor. I told him I'll take the motor so now I just gotta track down a Tranny. Probably just stick with a Getrag cause I don't think I'll push my motor past 300 hp. I was happy with the power out of my 2003 so I don't see why a 300 hp 1st gen will be any less satisfying
Update please. Did you buy? Have you started yet?

This truck is in excellent shape inside and out. It didn't come with tach and 2 other gauges (can't remember them) and finding them is going to be a pain and costly. Door panels are faded and seat needs re done but that is it inside. Finding it hard to determine what the interior color is.

Been surfing the net all weekend. I found out about a conversion for the np203 so its not all time 4wd but there is lubrication issues, so now I'm leaning towards np205. I really want to do a nv4500 for trans. Searched all over US on craigslist and found several junky 93 2wd diesels for cheap. I'll be dead if the wife catches on!

I'll get some inside pics up tomorrow. I'm new to these old dodges, was a chevy guy back then. 79-80 insides look the same except the steering wheel is different from what I can see.

Just a quick update, a couple years ago I traded this truck for something else....truck stayed local....the guy that got it also bought a 1993 dodge ext cab to put the body on to.

He stripped the '93 frame down, sand blasted it, POR15'd it, rebuilt the rear D70, Installed Skyjacker 6" springs, located a couple body parts put the engine/trans/transfer case back it....

Then I seen him put it up for sale on Facebook.....So I worked out another trade deal and got it back....I'm in he process of putting the body back on and fitting it to the ext cab frame...it has a 2" bodylift with a 1 1/2 floor notch.

Wouldn't be the same truck then, this thing is the most solid rust free 1980 I've seen......floors are FAR from soft...specially from a northern truck that sees rain and snow...IF it IS the same truck...then please...say thank you to your friend for me

No I think your truck is a different one. The fact that it is already converted, just not finished. The one Ramguy mentioned was still a 2wd long box gasser...in rough shape.
