RCC lift installed.
Just thought I would post a link about the modified RCC (Ramcharger Central Lift) I created and installed. My goal was to level the truck I have skyjacker 2" lift springs in the front plus the 2" RCC lift. In the rear I have the 6" springs that remove the rear block. This has leveled the truck and the ride is very good.
The RCC lift is made from a 2"x6" rectangluar tubing 1/4" thick. The mounting bolt holes are reinforced with 1" DOM with 1/4" wall with are welded in. It extends all the way accross the frame from outside spring perch to outside perch.
In order to match the addtional front lift I made 2" longer rear shackles from some 3/8" thick 4340PHT steel. I think the longer shackles have helped the front suspension movement more then anything. Check out your trucks and see if the rear shackles have been hitting the frame during rearward travel, limiting its travel.

My 35" tires rub every so slightly during off angle articulations. I am planning on re-cutting the front fender openings to match the rear openings. My plan is one they are recut with new fender liners I hope to fit 37" x 12.5" x 17" tires, I really want to move to this size tire as this is the size H1 hummers use and there are tons of E-Rated tire choices.
I plan on running the 35"x12.5"x16.5" tires until I get the fenders re cut.
I didn't want to install 4" lift springs as the more arch you get the worse the ride gets. Also , becasue of all the suspension travel we had to put a 4" slip joint in the front shaft.

I looked through 'em, saw mostly 2nd gens. I did like that Sport Fury, tho. Super sweet lookin' ride!
So, are those shackles and RCC on stock springs? The 1st gens I did see didn't look lifted too much. Also, I was wondering what you did to reinforce the bolt holes on those rear shackle mounts? I assume you ground off the rivets ro remove the stock shackle brackets, then used one of the existing holes, or maybe drilled a new one somewhere?

Can you PM me a link to a write up on doing this style lift? I've got a frame crack near the hanger on a truck i am working on and this looks like the perfect way to repair and strengthen that section of frame!

I have skyjacker 2" lift springs, 2" of RCC lift, for a total of 4" of lift. My truck is not lifted that much.
I didn't do anything to the rear shackle mounts. If the rivets fail at some point I will have to build some heavy duty mounts.
No second GEN's in my gallery, here are the links, to my pictures.
