1992 Bumper for Wench
#16
Sorry to de-rail.
On a serious note...
Reunel out of Yuba City Ca was making some really nice bumpers for the Dodge several years back.
I have had one on my 2nd gen for about 14 years now, it has put several deer in the freezer rather than total my truck over the years.
They where not cheap, but they where an well made unit.

I have my bumper almost finished, i will take a picture and post it. It would house a winch very nicely. It is a bit on the larger side but it looks really good on our trucks i think.

If I can ever get my house issue settled and sold I'm looking to buy a new place and have a shop built. When that day comes I plan to start offering some 1st gen bumpers at a more reasonable price. I know what mine cost to build and guarantee its stronger than anything offered now. It would easily accommodate a winch or even two wEnches.

There's definitely a few things I would change up a little or offer as as an alternate version.
I did put some practical thought into design if you haven't seen my build thread. The pull tabs extend through the bumper and are actually the bumper mounts and attached to frame with 8 grade 8 bolts. The bumper also give you a full 6" between the frame rails to stand on while working on the truck. 4" wasnt enough for my size 12 and 8" looked to much like a landing platform. The bottom angled portion was cut and angled to keep it from looking to tall but still cover the front spring hangers. IMO looks kinda goofy to see them under the bumper of an approaching truck.

I was thinking of something along the lines of what you built when I ran into your thread on the bumper.
