I know Tom Collins ran a 12.66 a while back in his 1st gen....anyone else in the 12s with a first gen??

Edit: I mean a REAL 1st gen...one without a p-pump

I know Harvey and Cole and a few others have p-pumped freaks that have run well into the 11s.

The last time I ran at Rockingham, I turned a 13.54. That was with an eighth at 8.5.

That was with the DDP4s.

Now I'm running the Shied 6x16s. Dialing in the IP timing with the new injectors has the eighth down to 8.44.

I just put in a Hamilton cam this past weekend. The custom Hellman IC should be here this Thursday.

I'd like to think when it's all done, the heap will be in the very low 13's . . . . . . .

So as not to publicly humiliate myself (further), I'll say I'm not and leave it at that.

David, what does Schied usually sell a set of those injectors for? They are a custom cut right, as I don't see them for sale directly on the website? Do they have you send in a set of your own injectors to get worked on or they don't need cores? I believe I talked to New Era and they did want to have the injectors sent to them (but I believe it was due to low stock at that time). Thanks for your reply.

That was Tom Collins. He runs a bomb of a combination that somehow hasn't blown up yet. DDP4s, 57mm USB turbo, 70%meth injection, bumped timing, and nitrous, all on stock head bolts! Have no idea why it hasn't broke. He's the one that ran the 12.66.

 

Sal, the EDMs from Schied are expensive, but then so is everything else once you get past the typical "Free" tweaks the 1st gen owners enjoy. Those that I got did not require cores and I'm sure part of that "expensive" covered the cores, and the washers, and the name.

 

Anything custom is $700+

5x14 "435" injectors are the biggest ''off the shelf'' injector you can buy for a 1st gen.
