Interesting Question
Per my sig, I have an 02' auto, and this is my first cummins motor. My dad has a 12 valve, but the 24v is a completely different machine. My biggest issue now, that the snow is melting and the running temps are getting higher, is the motor sounding like the electric fan is running, and the motor temps idling between 190-200+, which albeit is normal operating temp, but the electric fan sounds like is turning on all the time, even with no a/c running. My biggest concern now, especially with higher temps is the turbo boots from the intake/turbo to the intercooler and then the intake are still stock. Is there a set of stock OEM replacement/performance parts, that would be manufactured out of a more durable, rigid material like silicone, or something of the like? I know this is a big thing in the street car market, and just wanted to know if this is also applicable to the Cummins 24v motor.

Boots really aren't needed for a stock truck. I was running 80 psi on stock boots on my 12v from the intercooler to engine. 50 psi on all stock boots.
If its running hot, check your rad. Its probably plugged up with oil residue and dirt. My 12v runs at 180-185 as long as my winter fronts aren't in.

The vent from the Crankcase on the 24V engines in that hear is up front near the oil fill tube. The draft from there can cause the rad to be clogged with dirt and buildup. I would make sure the rad gets a good pressure wash and see if that helps.

Thanks all for the great info! I'll definitely go down to the quarter-wash and give the rad a good pressure wash. My question was also more of a preventative maintenence type of question. With boating season right around the corner here, I just want to make sure that reliablity is on par.

Does your truck have electric fans instead of the factory viscous style hub clutch? If your truck is running around 190, that is normal...probably has a 190 degree thermostat in it. Also, as others have mentioned the stock air to air boots are plenty for a stock truck. Now you can take them off and inspect them if you like, and double check all clamp connections.
