May Flowers break room

32° mostly cloudy, no rain predicted. Went into town to find some insulation for the toilet tank to keep it from sweating. No such luck. The same for compression socks. As the hardware store was next to the airport I drove past the old place. There where some management people around so I dropped in to get an update on the company. The court denied their request to liquidate, so the Part 135 operation may survive as there where only 2 leased aircraft out of 57. As far as the 121 operations, most likely the aircraft will go back to their lease holders and the 121 certificates sold as all those aircraft where leased. So maybe by June 1st, I'll be going back to work is the word. We shall see.

34° warming into to low 50°s. Tried working on the house yesterday, but the mosquitoes where hungry. Sold my aircraft tools yesterday to a young pilot wanting to get his A&P. That cleared out some space in my tool box. Hope there is some wind today, I want to try and replace the mirror on the 01.

Hey Cougar

We think about you guys up there in AK, and hope that things turn around for you soon .

Really sucks how this is affecting some of us, some much worse than others. Its most irritating when you speak to person who's job is considered essential, and their lives have hardly changed at all. They have zero concept of the issues you face and act as if all the noise about it is unwarranted..

Best to you no matter where life leads you.

Thanks. My employer was considered essential too. But when a company takes a sudden 90% loss in business on top of already being maimed by last years cyber attack, well chances aren't good.
Supposed to be another fair day today, rain tonight. The mosquitoes let me change the mirror on the 01 (after 2 years being broke) and I cleaned out one of my tool boxes to get ready to sell. Now that I have time and all my tools are in the same place, I need to inventory them, keep the best and sell off the duplications. That will by me a couple weeks groceries and clear up more space.

Good question. When you're 64, it's hard enough to get a job in a depressed economy. Add to that my physical limitations, the prospects are even worse. When there are thousands of people in my line of work out of work, employers have an endless pool to chose from. The only thing I have to offer is 35 years of aviation experience and knowledge which can only be used in a supervisory, quality, or maintenance control environment. I do have a temp delivery job for now.
39³ and looks to be a good day. I'll see what nasty neighborhood my delivery route takes me into today. Spent yesterday trying to sort out old tools. The more I look the more I find. And I still have more places to look. The problem when you're always under the threat of moving. Things go into boxes never to be found again. I heard myself repeating "so that's where that went". I found my brake tools, still can't find my tune up tools.

30° mostly cloudy, should get to mid upper 50°s. It was a slow day yesterday, I only had 2 deliveries in one of the swanker parts of the valley. I was asked if I'd do the Tok run as the regular driver took a sudden vacation. NO! I've seen the truck and trailer they use for that.

Supposed to be May but it's still acting like early April cool and raining like it's coming out of a bucket.
don't know if you all seen it yesterday the Governor of WV dropped the F bomb in a live press conference, which I thought was cool because it showed he wasn't a political but then he back pedaled and called it a technical glitch. Here you decide

Benefit of the doubt tells me he read the words "following" and interjected it into the sentence, while trying to say something else.

In other words, he read ahead to the word "follow" and said the "fa" as he caught himself mixing up the order of the words, before the word "can" which mad it sound like "fa can"

I've done this, because I found myself thinking ahead, saying the word in the wrong position in the sentence.

Transposition of words ...

I never heard of this guy before this video, so I don't have a,horse in this race.

Good screw up, though !

Beautiful day, here . 50* and sunny.

Park trip in NW. NJ

Quiet dog walk. Saw horses, nuclear plant, Delaware River.

Saw a restaurant open, ignoring the BS lockdown rules, and loved seeing it. We need more biz to say "fu" and open, use common sense guidelines, and don't go out of biz because of our tyrants intentionally ruining us.

Blue skies

Had to pee

Thanks, I remember when that album was released.
Beautiful day here too. And restaurants and other stores are opening here as well. Those that are still in business anyway. Maybe I can find a barber shop? My favorite place to get apple fritters has a for lease sign in the window. The local supplement store is out of business. Very sad, it was the only place I could get certain supplements without have to go to Anchorage. Now I will have to mail order and wait.

38° headed toward the mid 50°s. Rain starting this evening, heavy through tomorrow evening. After work, I've started cutting up the trees I fell last summer. Mostly cotton wood, wet and slow going with a little electric chain saw. I have a big gas one, but I don't trust my physical ability to handle it right now. Normally I wouldn't bother till they dried out more, but they are in the way of my driveway project.

all we need is for disco to make a comeback and it will be the 70s all over again without the cool cars.

Same terrible weather here in Pennsyltucky. I'm still burning wood and coal, that means it's still winter.
