Which injectors to get

Hi,
I just ordered an ATS transmission with the Billet Input Shaft w/ hardened clutch drum, TripleLok® torque converter, TripleLok Commander?. This should take the weak link out of my truck. I am now looking to get some injectors. I will be towing a 5th wheel that will weigh in at around 13k lbs. I want to get the max power without losing my mileage. The Stage 3 injectors from DTT look good. Any Ideas?

Thanks

-Pete

I'd say get a set of EDM Mach 3's. Your gonna need a new turbo with anything bigger than a stage 2 if I'm correct. An HX40 would be nice. But then you'll need bigger injectors to spool it up quicker. And then a bigger turbo for those. And bigger injectors. AHHHHHHHHH!!!! WHEN DOES IT END??!?!?!?!?!?!!?

Anyways. A set of Mach 3's would be a nice injector.

I'm running Mach 3s and am very happy with them. Very controllable smoke, good fuel mileage if I'm not too heavy on the go pedal. You will have to get enough air into the engine to be able to burn this fuel. And you'll need to get the exhaust out too.
I don't know if the AFE will flow enough, I'm using a scotty 2. A hybrid turbo (if not towing) or a bigger one like a KSB1B would round off the package. - Then swap the EZ for a Drag Comp or add a VA to the EZ O-Ring the head.

BB- there is an end to bombing- just some 10hp more and I'm done. ( And that's a fact, I stated this even before the Edge, before the tranny, before the turbo, before the injectors each and every time, repetition makes it being true )

So, until I can get a larger turbo would the Stage 3 push the EGT too high? Should I go for a 'smaller' set of injectors? I am mostly worried about pulling my 5th through the Rockies to Yellowstone this summer.

Thanks.

Then I'd stick to a set of Mach 2's.

Alpine, when I got my truck, I just fessed up and realized that I wouldn't stop until I cracked 600hp. Makes life a little easier.

I am no expert, but for TOWING, I would NOT put all that fire under the hood. I would keep the EZ & some 275injectors or some rated no more than 60 to 80 hp like the EDM 1'S OR 1.5'S. While towing you are going to burn your pyro guage out putting too much juice too it. If you go with more juice like the fellows above are talking about, then you need deep pockets to get a bigger turbo, then something else, & something else, plus a 100 gallon fuel tank to get you through YELLOWSTONE. I recommend keeping your focus on what you want to do with your truck, and pursue that goal. TOWING & HIGH,RAW HP do not mix.

FWIW - I would call Rod at Wildcat or talk to Don.

I have Don Ms EDM Mach2s - wanted the Mach 2.5 or +

I was told that if you want to tow Mach 2s should be the max - otherwise egts become an issue.

Anyway - EGTs are not a problem - but I have haven't towed heavy in hot weather either.

I really like the injectors - low smoke - clears right up as boost rises

Good luck

George

I have EDM's 2.2 (105hp) I also have a DD's version of EZ comp, plus I just put in a PDR HX40... when towing, I just turn off the box. Temp is controlable.. I love it

I just ordered the Stage 5 tranny, how do you like yours? Plus, how hard was it to install the turbo. It looks like that will be my next purchase after the injectors. (Never ends

I run what is in my sig. It runs real hot without tst on but I going to set twins on this truck. I had dd2 and ez with hybrid and you couldn't hardly get it over 1200 with biggest loads and heavy foot. High temps are a real pain to deal with when the power feels good .
