Whats up with my boost?

I just bought a slightly used (5k miles) 2006 ram ctd about 2 weeks ago. It has had the cat removed and it has an aftermarket muffler on it. I installed the edge juice with attitude over the weekend and it works pretty good. My question is, with it set to the 0, or stock mode I can hit 39psi boost if I get on it, is this normal? I have gone up to level 2 and it still hits about the same 39psi. I traded in my 2006 ram ctd for this one (different color and 4x4 on the new one) and was surprised that the new one wasnt quite as peppy as the old one even with the edge. Its not terrible and it does get up and go but the other truck just seemed to have a lot more low end snap if hit the throttle right. I have figured this is due to the exhause so I ordered an aero turbine to go where the cat was to see it this helps and also to make a more pleasing tone.

That would explain a dead spot in your lower RPM range. If the box is boost fooling with stock fueling curves, then the truck would see less-than-actual boost as the turbo spools, and it would delay fueling until it sees more boost. This will move the boogey up higher in the RPM curve.

That happened to me when I put a boost fooler on a stock truck, and I took it off because it was annoying and I liked the stock setup better.
