Uh Oh!!!! No trailer brakes and trailer is loaded for Florida!!
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller in my truck. Last time I pulled my trailer(Three weeks ago) the brakes worked just fine. Yesterday I hooked and loaded it to the back doors with my friend's household goods that I am hauling to the Tampa area for him. I had no problems driving to his house with the trailer empty but once loaded I noticed that the light on the controller was just staying green where it is supposed to start turning orange then red as I apply brake pressure. I am getting no trailer braking whatsoever. I even tried sliding the emergency manual brake lever over and still nothing. Since the light on the controller is on I assume there is good power going to it. I checked fuse #1 which is for the electric brakes and it looks fine. I've just read that maybe I should check #19 also, which I will do in the morning, But does anyone have an idea what may be wrong here. I'd hate to spend a bunch of $$$ on a new brake controller only to find that was not the problem.
I know one thing. Wet roads and 12000lbs behind you with no extra braking can make for a hairy ride......
I'm not leaving for Florida until Thursday morning so I have some time to figure it out but I'm gonna try and get it right today....

Check voltage coming from brake switch on pedal. When you press brake pedal you should have 12 volts going to controller. I can't remember the color or wire right off hand. There are 4 wires, one is hot when switch is on, one is ground, one goes to trailer (I know that one is blue), and one is hot when brake pedal is pushed. You have a good connection from controller to trailer, and you have a good ground on trailer. You probably have one of three problems:
1 No voltage coming from brake switch to controller
2 Controller settings have been changed
3 Controller has gone bad (not likely, but possible)

Thanks. I'll be checking the wiring first thing.
I have had a ground problem with this trailer so I ran a separate ground wire from the trailer frame to my truck frame. That solved some lighting issues I had a long time ago. These brakes have worked fine with this ground for several years...
And to be clear about my first post, I had no trailer brakes pulling to my friends house either. It was just no problem with an empty trailer and with dry roads.....

No it doesn't have that function. I was also wrong. It's a Voyager controller. I think it's a ground issue because I hooked jumper cables between the truck and trailer and the brakes seem to be functioning now. I'm off for a test drive.....

Well, that was not the problem but I ended up looking at the controller a bit closer and realized there is also an adjuster on the right side of the unit. I thought they worked in unison but they are not connected. I turned that adjusting wheel and the brakes work fine now.
