Tranny noise
I think my 4500 is making noise. thought it was the carrier bearing but a couple mechanics said its fine and they think its in the tranny. In 1st, 2nd, and reverse if your accelerate throught the rpms like a sane man it makes a womp womp womp noise that gains speed with the rpms. If you really get on it hard it wont make any noise at all. It wont do it when you press the clutch or take the load off of it. Could this be a missing tooth/teeth somewhere or could it be a bearing? Anyone have any experience with this kind of a problem.

does this noise seem tobe the loudest at 1800 to 1900 rpm? Louder with windows up in the cab? Windows down can't hardly hear it? Stops when you press the clutch in? Tranny just sounds louder than other nv4500s you have heard?
