Which SMARTY, Jr. or Sr? Either way keep it 60/70hp or below if having a stock tranny.

Do you have gauges (EGT, boost)?

MikeyB. Are you sure that 60/70hp is a safe setting. I would say a little less. More around 30 or so IMO. He didn't really let us know what he was towing or how heavy. Grades etc... To be on the really safe side, I would stay around 30hp or stock with a stock truck. Just a thought.

You're right. Not knowing more details on his setup is best to drop the power down.

I have regularly towed up to 25K with injectors and my quad box on 60HP (100 HP the EGTs run through the roof up steep hills) My tranny has 103K miles on it, Just don't abuse the power and the stock tranny can take alot of power, I just keep the EGT's under 1300 while accelerating, then set the crusise, it will kick down going up a long steep hill and the EGT's hit 1400 for a few seconds.

I hear level 3 works great towing for smarty.

I have a Smarty Jr on my 06 and pull a 30' toy hauler. Trailer could weigh as much as 12500 when loaded, so that puts me over 20K GVW. I use SW-2 when towing, but had to watch the EGTs on long grades. I have since lost the kitty and that solved the EGT problem, down a good 250-degrees. I always try to do the downshifting on grades manually. I didn't like the way things reacted when the computer controlled the shifts. The engine would rev way up and then the TC would grab it again. It just didn't sound too good to me. The stock converter is the weak link in the drivetrain. I have been saving $ for an aftermarket converter and valvebody. I am going to go with Dunrite Converters in Vancouver, WA, which is not too far from me here in Tacoma. If you call and talk to Tony you will quickly appreciate his expertise and experience.

Looking at your sig I would guess you could tow on SW1,3, or 5 and not have fuel rail draining issues. You have a clutch so you are fine there... It just depends on what you want to do.. SW5 might get you too much boost and drive pressures if the WG is off...

For Revo settings I would go with RP1, TQ2, TM2 (3 if 2 is too much smoke)

I tow a 13k 5er on smarty SO6 level 3 in the rockies. I perfer the 4.11 but I have the revo now. When towing with the revo I have to back the timing down. Remember to keep rpm above 1800 or else egt will increase.

I tried towing with timing on 4 the highest for revo to improve milage. Too much timing rattle and lost power in the mountains. I tried timing 2 and it is ok but I still like 4.11 better.

Now I am considering one of the following, backing timing down some more OR
going back to 4:11 or beta 4.4. I felt more low end on 4:11

Side note: I still have the stock exhaust because I like to listen to my Time Life classic CD,s.

Gotcha.. Backing the timing down to 3 won't give you more bottom end, it will give you less.
