Smarty or edge juice
What exactly is the smarty? Is it similar to a hypertech or something like that? What is the advantages of the smarty over something like the edge juice with additude?

Yes the Smarty is a microtuner. It plugs into your diagnostic connector under the dash. You can save the stock program and then load a performance program, then unplug it and store the tuner. There are 9 programs. I bought mine because the Smarty has a 1/2 fuel program that saved my butt when I went in for emissions. The first time doing emissions I was at 60% opacity-30% is max. I bought the Smarty and loaded up the 1/2 fuel program. I passed emissions at 24%. It will read diagnostic codes. Smarty's are known for the amazing changes to timing at low end fueling allowing the truck to excellerate out of the hole like nothing else. I am happy to have mine. I stack it with a Hot Edge Juice. The potential for fueling with these two stacked seems amazing to me. The manufacture of the Smarty recommends using Smarty stacked with a fueling box that does not change fuel timing. They recommend this because of the amazing ability that the Smarty has in timing.

I have a smarty. If I were only going to buy one box I would probably go with the juice. Although, I wouldn't call the smarty overrated.
A lot of people stack the smarty with other boxes. This way you get the low end power of smarty with the high end of the other box.
