Shudder At Low RPM

I am new here, but I have the a problem with a 95 ctd in a ford truck that I did a conversion on. I have a 6 speed and when I put in my 90hp injectors I got a terrible shudder anywhere from 1000 to about 13 or 1400 rpm. I can just fuel through it and it stops. It never did it with the stock injectors and that is the only thing that changed before the problem started. Any advice would be great.

What clutch? If it's stock, it is going out. Mine did the same thing when I put in the Mach 4's and bigger turbo.

Happy SB DD owner now.

Its in my sig. It is a Zoom button style stage II. I think that it is rated at 650hp/1300tq. Thanks.

Also, I would not be able to fuel through it if the clutch was slipping, it would just free rev. It only does it under low throttle situations.

They came from a friend, I am not sure where he got them. I did have the pop tested before I installed them and they were all within 5% of each other.

Would it be because they are marine injectors?

hmm. make sure that your govenor arm isnt hanging up. after that i would check the filter and overflow valve. I ran the 300 marines for awhile with no stumble paired with stock dv's.

I just finished a truck today that was doing the same thing. Changed out injectors and it went away. It was a 95 4x4 auto. I put a new inj pump, injectors and lift pump from pensacola diesel. The truck ran fine, but shudderd at about 1150. I took the stage one's out and put in factory bosch 275 and truck runs perfect. Tim

I have been talking to my performance guy and I think that we have figured it out. He said that he has had this problem with several 94 and 95 trucks that have had larger injectors, so here is what we did. I know in my sig it says 191s, but I just finally got around to putting them in tonight and it basically fixed the problem. It still has a very minor shudder, but you cant hardly feel it at all. Also, it moved it down to about 950 or 1000 rpm and that is low enough that you should not be down there much anyway. I hope that this helps some having the same problem.
