Reputable dealer needed - Shenandoah Valley or north
Given the sad state of the Dodge franchised network these days, I was unable to affect repairs to my failing driveshaft carrier bearing in Asheville. It is a warranty repair and the only place with a knowledgeable diesel tech was no longer a Dodge dealer, and had no access to parts they did not have still in stock.
Other places, no parts, or no tech.
So, if anyone has a suggestion for north of here, say between Roanoke and Hagerstown, MD that would be might helpful. I'll call ahead and see if they have people and parts and plan the stops accordingly.
Mighty grateful for any help.

Dodge Dealer
Try Tate in Frederick,MD. I've had good luck with them for 20 ys. They would do everything except diesel engine specific stuff until the Chrysler reorg. Now, they're doing everything.
Two of the mechanics own CTDs. They're always parked in the back lot.

Mission accomplished. Kudo's to dieseltruckresource.com and the power of user forums. It was not the carrier bearing as I thought it might be but a completely frozen rear shaft rear u-joint. Man, that thing wouldn't pivot at all in one direction. Only 730ft/lb of Cummins torque kept us moving forward.
And hat's off to Tate Dodge, and Shane & Dave, service writer and diesel tech. They got my truck into the garage and had it done before I could finish lunch at a nearby Bob Evans.
