Clean it really good with a razor blade, along with the windshield. Then get one of the "mirror glue" kits from an auto parts store, and re apply it. Don't use too much super glue if you go that route, as it won't stick well. You only want a drop or two.

Why can't they just be attached to the top of the windshield frame like they used to? I know, I know..........it would cost a few cents more!

Read the directions on the mirror glue kit and follow them to the letter. Once the mirror is in place adjust it as little as possible. I had to reattach my mirror several times on an truck I used to have. It seemed like adjusting the mirror was what hastened it falling off.
