Does anyone know if you can get a u-connect mirror and hook it up on a slt that had the normal manual day/night mirror?????? Are the wires already behind the evic??????

The wiring is there for the auto dim mirror. Try a junkyard for the mirror. I have a 97 Grand Cherokee with an auto dim mirror and it looks like it will work. I plan on swapping before I part ways with the GC...the hood light also. :P

 

Just rip it out and get a set of side mirrors with a decent convex on them. I have the big tow mirrors and dont notice my rearview "missing".

 

Sparky, there a two types of mirrors, a 7 way and 12 way. If you have an SLT, the plug is behind the EVIC. Dig it out an find a mirror that matches the plug. Base models are not wired for auto dim.
