You can see a bit of the H junction here and my dirty trans. As oily as it looks, fluid levels stay good.

Is it possible for an oil pan to rust out? That seems like a boat burning up while in the water. Those are all little rust pockets.

And finally, I found these in the glove box, can someone ID them?

The last pics are a set of tailight sockets that appear rusted out. Never had an auto, so can help ya with the other pics....springs look factory, just a set of overload springs is all.

I do think the springs are a little beefy for factory, two is the most i ever saw for overloads, the trans cooler might be a dealer option but not shure, i know there was an optional one that went in the pocket between the bed and the frame on the drivers side with a cooling fan on a thurmostat but i don't think that "T" is the way they did it, again not shure, i know i would like to have it.

the underside of your truck looks super clean, and the taillight socket and back-up light socket are really in pretty good shape if thats grease inside the socket.

the pan just looks like paint drips from the factory paint on the pan, yes i have seen them rust out but your truck is way to clean for that to be the case.

The springs look like Hellwigs, the tranny cooler is deffinitely the dealer installed option cooler. Yes, they did have a T in it like that. The oil pan is not rusted, I have seen the thick coat of paint like that several times.

It didnt matter if the truck was an LE to get the cooler. The only stipulation was a dealer would not install the cooler on your truck unless you had 3.54 ratio.

The trans cooler setup you have is all factory.

That H Valve is the one I think i told you about, when the fluid gets warm enough the viscosity is what actually opens the H which cools the fluid, And the Temp. sensor on the transmission cooler fan is way to High from the "factory"

Yea I have seen a 92 D350 with crank windows and rubber floors (NON LE) that had the cooler, it's a dealer installed option like the "Factory Tach" is

Ohhhhhhh !!! I had given up looking for that ! I was looking close to the trans though. I'll have to re-read that thread now that I have my bearing. I'm ready to start hooking up gauges.

Man, that is seriously impressive. You nailed the springs. They are load pro 25 by Hellwig.

Here is the diagram for the Dealer Installed

Super Duty Transmission Oil Cooler.

This option increases your maximum trailer tow rating from 12,000 GCW to 14,000 GCW

Interesting fact:
It was factory installed on my truck having 3.07 axle ratio.

I have all of the documentation on this cooler.

Hey Jim, great post! Thanks a ton for this info. That extra 2k lbs is icing on the cake! Between the Hellwigs and this cooler, it seems my truck is more capable than a base model dually.
