nv5600 leak
I recently changed the fluid on my nv5600...now I have a leak, which I believe is coming from the shift tower. (thats how I re-filled)
I've been chasing this leak for a few weeks. I've tried re-sealing the gasket on the shift tower with black rtv, but it still leaks.
I ordered a new spacer gasket today, but it looks re-usable....could this solve my problem?
The leak is definately coming from the top of the trans somewhere...is there a breather near the shift tower that would cause this if I overfilled too much? (put 6 in when I changed)
Is there anything else to look for? hoping to fix this soon, bottom of the truck is pretty oiled up right now.
thanks in advance,
Chris

When you put the top back together did you loose one of the metal sleeves where the bolts go through?
Take top off again and check installation again, being inside the cab, it's a little dark, sometimes you cannot see well what you are doing.

still have all 4...almost lost one a week ago, didn't hit the garage floor so it took a while to find. ha ha
I wish the hole in the floor board was a little bigger, you're right, not easy to see anything.
