Nitto Trail Grapplers

Has anyone had any experience with these, did a search and read quite a bit about the Durra's and the Terra's, want to step up from a 305 to a 315 or 35" tire but would like to stay with an E rated tire, the Trails seem to be the only one in the Nitto line up that are around 35" and E rated.

Would running the Terra in this size LT325/70R17 D122R be a problem even though its a D rated tire, I don't tow heavy (9000 lbs)

Thanks

My buddy has them on his truck...295 70 17 E's...they look great, but they are very loud at highway speeds. Make sure you rotate them every 5K or they wont last. He never rotated his and the fronts are trashed and the rears still look ok. Great in the mud and sand, hasnt snowed since he got them...

check the max load rating on the tire you want to install then compare it to the stock tire, usually the larger d rated tire will be the same or greater than the stock e rated tire.

I've been running mine since spring 2010....I have close to 30K on them now and they have worn really well (35x12.5x17 on stocker wheels & I rotate every 3K).

I have have found them to be a fairly quite tire for how aggresive the tread is. Good performance all round'....
I have had many a tire (BFG MTs, BFG AT...never again!, Mickey Thompson MTZ,)
I think I have found a tire I am going to stick with for the long haul!
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies gents.

Pretty sure Im going with Nitto, seem to be the best bang for the coin and things are tight lately and the need for new rubber cant be avoided with winter coming. Im just not getting the same kind of wear from the newer BFG tires like I got from the old Mud T/A tread pattern. Just need to decide which one of these 2 choices I'll go with

Terra Grappler 325/70R17 D $1169 free shipping
Trail Grappler 35x12.50R17 E $1225 free shipping

Edit: tire noise doesnt bother me at all (except for Super Swamper TSL) traction on wet pavement and snow along with good wear characteristics are biggest concerns
