I need the low down on fender flares....
I have seens some pics of the new dodge's with fender flares and I like the look. The flare makes the truck look bigger and tougher. Plus it adds depth to the fenders. So does anyone have any recommendations on fender flares? How about the fender strips that are made out of chrome? I have noticed one thing. Trucks with flares have the cool Cummins logo removed! I am not really crazy about having to do that! Any advice would be greatly apperciated. Thanks!

I was looking for flares for my 2nd gen. I think I've decided on xenons. I understand there some sort of urathane. I think there also a life time garontee on them against cracking or breaking? and there suposed to be paintable by almost any bodyshop to match your trucks paint. They have that almost stock look to them too. not real obnoxious. Someone on here once posted that the bushmasters were good but dirt would get between the flare and paint. I dont know if this would happen with xenon's or not. I search around on google and found the xenon's for 2nd gens on some yahoo store for like 260$ a set of 4. About your logo. It might be possable to move it forword or you could get a diffrent cummins logo for the door. Personally I think they shouldf have kept the door logos with the orange cummins lettering under it. The front fender ones makes it almost impossable to tell if a truck has a cummins in passing.
hope some of this helps

I have an 04.5 with bushwacker extendafender flares. I like the over all look. The badging is easy to move just a little heat and then restick it.

I like the bushwacker pocket flares or the warn pocket flares they have the pockets showing the fasteners and yes I usually move the cummins logo up the fender in front of the mirror

I did some good research on them a couple months ago. The warns and xenons are the best IMO. APS and Bushwacker don't look as good, and don't have as good of a mounting system. You want a double sided tape stip, and not just rubber between the flare and the truck.
Look on ebay, lots of places will paint them too, just give them the factory paint code.

I have Bushwacker Stree Flares and no complaints. I left them black from factory and they blend nicely with the white. They come with double-sided sitcky tape too....The black rubber strip is to keep the flare from rubbing the fender...
