Mysterious Intake Plug ??
On the wife's 91.5 I/Cooled, directly under the grid-heater, on the driver-side of the intake manifold, there is a threaded plug, possibly pipe-thread, maybe 1/8NPT or 1/4NPT.
Is this indeed a pipe-plug, possibly intended to be for a turbo-boost gauge??
If so, is it 1/8, or 1/4??
Also, immediately behind this plug, between it and the firewall, is a 1/2NPT plug, also going into the intake; what purpose does it serve??
Many thanks.

I think he is talking about the plug in the intake/ head, right where the intercooler boot and injector line meet in the above picture (you can see about an eighth of it in this pic)

Right you are.
It screws straight into the intake; and, as Wanna said, prevents a massive boost leak.

I left it alone; but, I had the intake snout off and could see that it was screwed directly into the manifold.
I was just curious as to what might screw in it's place; although, the knowledge would probably do nothing more than ease my curiousity.
