The Mysterious Filter Donation...

Went out to my truck to go to lunch and in the bed someone had left me four Mopar air filters, four Mopar oil filters and five NAPA fuel filters......all new and in their original unopened packaging.

Whoever left them there had to be someone on my job site...and I do not know a single person here with a 2003 Cummins.

The timing couldn't have been better as I was planning to order a 4/2/1 kit from Geno's this afternoon.

I thought so. I wish I knew who did it so I could thank them. Saved me a couple hundred bucks.

The only thing I can figure is that someone had a 3rd Gen Cummins that they bought this stuff for and then got rid of the truck so they decided they'd stick it in the bed of the first Dodge they saw. Either that or someone put it in my truck thinking they were putting it in theirs.

Post Special note for Mrs. Hoss,,,,,,,,,,,,, ONLY

Dear Mrs. Hoss,
This note is to inform you that Shane is telling you a BIG whopper of a lie if he has mentioned anything about getting something for FREE lately. I would suggest that you request for him to take you and Hoss Jr. out for a lavish night on the town since he can afford to spend $100 from his private STASH FUND on stuff for his truck.

Regards,
The DTR Staff

Shame on you Hoss,,,,,,,,, shame,,, shame,,, shame,,,,

Mystery solved.

I found out that the guy who donated the filters to me is one of my old subcontractors. He used to have an '03 Cummins and traded it in for a Ford. He called me this morning wanting to know if I had found the filters. Said he was cleaning out his garage and found them and thought of me.

Can't beat that.

Can I trust his judgement?? Probably not. After all....who in their right mind would trade in for an inferior engine/truck?? Can I trust his character?? Absolutely.
