muffler replacement
What do you guys think if you cut the guts out of the stock muffler and put it back on? Do you thick it would sound like a drone or a ricer then? Because it wouldnt be straight through it would have some back pressure but not much. Maybe enough to change the sound some. Thanks

Re:muffler replacement
IMHO the off set inlet/oulet will still not provide optimum flow (as you stated) unless you make a direct conection between the two. If you are looking for just sound improvement, it may work. I have heard gutted muffs b4. They sound different than straight throughs with packing. It is worth a try however...I would like to know how it turns out if you decide to try it. Should be inexpensive...

Re:muffler replacement
I would also be very interested in what you think of the sound of a gutted muffler. I would love to get a dual exhaust setup but have to wait for the bank account to recover.
