There is a light in the center of the dash, above the radio area, It has 3 wires, a black, a pink, and a yellow,
Someone, PLease tell me what the function of these 3 wires are,,, The light doesn't work, the switch is broken,,, Has anyone have one for me, or a part #

Pink is always hot, yellow is ground if a door is open, and black is always ground. The 3 positions on the switch are "on", "off", and "on with dome light".

I don't know what'd be cooler; if you had that memorized, or if you looked it up for us...

Well, that's just cool no matter what.

(And I cut a piece of green glove and set it in my map light, so now all my dash lights are green. )

it really didn't fit with the decor, but then neither does the diamond plate I have an alternate dash in mind where I can get all my gauges at eye level.

Guys, when you have spare parts lying around use the PM system instead of the forums to dispose of them.

Hey Dave I have an idea. Since it is technicly against the rules to offer to give or sell a part, can we have a forum just for this ? i mean classifieds are fine if your selling something but lot ppl dont really look there if they want a dome light.
The reason i ask this is our trucks arent like 94 and up, we cant buy a lot of stuff they can, it give us a place to ask for help and parts we cant just go buy.

Jack's not keen on adding new forums. The classifieds are being upgraded over the next few weeks and will be more user friendly, hopefully traffic over there will improve.

If you see a post from somebody who needs a spare part that you have, feel free to PM that person. DON'T go PM'ing everyone on the 1st gen board about parts you have for sale, that is spamming and will get you banned.

LOL i was really not leaning to selling, but like me and others we have spare parts and are to much of a packrat to chunk them. I understand not wanting to add forums as well, It just seems easier for us because we cant just go buy a part. But its ok it was just an idea, thanks.
