Map Light Wiring

When I bought my truck it didn't have an overhead console in it. It had some kinda TV screen in it put there by the previous owner. So I tore all that out and bought an overhead console with the map lights. I noticed it's got 3 wires. Yellow, Pink, and Black w/ Green stripe. What do these wires correspond to and are all 3 necessary to wire up the map lights. I would have figured a simple + and - would work just fine. Thanks

I would assume one is a ground, one is positive on all the time that goes to the light switch and the other is positive triggered on by opening the door.
Should be easy to figure out which is which with a meter or test lamp.
