Lift pump issues, I think...
The Ol' Dragon is an 89 D250 bone stock with 300K miles +, not the truck in my sig.
For about 3 days, the truck seemed sluggish, felt like less fuel coming to it. This afternoon, there was a big drop in power and the truck wouldn't go faster than 35 mph on the flats, down to 15 up hills. After a good dozen miles in these conditions, it died. I tried to crank it a couple times, but it reacted like when air is in the fuel system.
My initial thought was: the transfer pump died on me, the injection pump was able to pick up for a while, but something happened - what??? - and it stopped.
Additionally, I must say that my lights have been flickering badly for a while, and I was suspecting the voltage regulator, just hadn't had time to address that one.
What do y'all think?
Thanks!
