Help With F.P. Guage

Help needed for the mechanically challenged.

I've purchased a fuel pressure guage for my 2001.5 H.O. and have a good friend that will install it if I can get the hoses and fittings together. I need to know what all I will need for the job, in simple , uncomplicated terms. I have a dipricol gauge without an isolator and want to hook up wherever it's easiest and run the guage into the truck. Again, if you can help please keep it simple. Thanks most kindly.

I used 1/8" braided SS line for mine. Some use 1/8 line from a grease gun. I also hooked mine up to the VP44. What I did was take the shrader valve out and hooked the SS line up. the shrader valve is located under the black cap on the VP44 where the fuel line meets it from the fuel filter canister.

Here is a picture of my setup... No isolator and just simple hook up straight to the guage...

It works good. No leaks and good response from the fuel pump (quick needle movement!)

Thank you all for the quick response and the pictures.

So it looks like I need a threaded banjo bolt (what size?), a length of grease gun hose (how long) , a shut off valve and what else. thanks again.

Banjo bolt comes in one size from Geno's Garage... About 7 bucks

The needle valve is a weatherhead product (Part #WH6820) that can be prochased at NAPA for $5.00

I used the nylon tubing because it will fit behind the A-Pillar.... I'm not sure about the grease gun hose???

gease gun geuse is just to dampen the pulses from the vp-44....any length would be good but with a needle vavle you probably dont need the hose.

I used a hydraulic hose I had pre-made at a hose shop. I used a needle valve and banjo bolt and installed under the filter like in the picture posted before in this thread. I just don't trust a plastic hose for fuel into my cab. If you connect under the fuel filter canister I used 6 feet and have about 6" to play with. If you connect to the VP44 you will need a little more, probably 6.5-7 feet of whatever hose you use. Just remember if you connect to the VP44 you won't have a test port to connect to.
