I wish my Financeometer would go up once in a while, or just stay up and let me play.

Sence you tow alot, a pyro, and trans temp are manditory. A boost guage is both fun, and a good idea because, it'll help clue you in on turbo health, and if u have a boost leak. With our IP's having the capability of drawing its own fuel, it can be hard to spot a dead lift pump, so a fuel pressure guage is a manditory item.

I would put them in this order
1)pyro
2)trans temp
3)boost
4)fuel pressure
5)rear diff temp
6)oil temp
7)oil pressure

How do you fit all those guages in? I'm thinking about a smarty box, so I would need a pyro, trans temp, and fuel pressure. I think I coulds do away with the reat couldn't I?

Thanks for any input.

I think it's best just to line them up across the top of the dash. A lot of guys like the pillar mounts but I think they're tacky.

I have a Tach, boost and pyro on top of the dash just to the right of center and I think they're purty.

I needed that spot for the garage door opener. There's alot of empty space around the column, not to mention on the floor, if you're creative about fabbing your own mounts:

I think there's room for one more. Just can't decide what else needs monitoring.

Get a tapped banjo bolt from Genos and use it to replace the post filter connection. Then just thread in a line to your setup of choice. With/w-o snubber, isolator, in-cab or under-hood, just about anything that reads up to around 15 or 20 psi mechanical will work.

How about the 2 guage A pillar pod from geno's made for the 1st gen, mounted on the plastic trim above the drivers window. The contour is close, and when mounted along with a dual and single pod combined on the A pillar, you have a very good line of sight on all 5 guages. Oh, yeah, get the steering column single guage pod for the tachometer, for a total of 6 guages. Do it the correct way by painting the pods to match interior color trim, too.

OK, so now you have me wanting a fuel pressure guage . Is this something that needs to be monitored ocassioanlly all across the power band like oil pressure or can it be mounted under the hood and just checked at idle like when checking trans fluid etc?

Since you have an auto, I'd move that temp guage up to #2 as well IF you plan on towing anything. OR take it out of OD when you do. It can creep up there on you

You won't see a drop until there's a major problem if the gauge is under the hood. The nice thing about an in-cab gauge is you know when the filter is due for a change instead of guessing. My filter's been on for nearly a year and it's still doing well.
