Re:help on ford guages

Your better off doing post turbo. Its alot easier. For the boost there is a tube that goes from the turbo to the MAP sensor. SHould be over on the passenger side. Cut the tube in the middle and buy a piece of rubber tube. Heres a pic of it. I will get a pic of the motor area when my dad gets home. What you need is the top one. Send me an IM if you need help.

SD03

Re:help on ford guages

I have a tap and Die set that I made a thread inside the exhuast downpipe and put the probe in there. Differnce in temp is anywhere from 200to 400 differnce. I put post on the Excursion and towing through the hill country i hit 950* at 20psi. But aslong as you let the turbo cool to 350* or lower you will fine.

SD03

Re:help on ford guages

Heck, just drill ya a hole on the Driver side exhaust manifold just as it starts to bend back up. It's safer to watch your EGT's pre turbo than post turbo. You'll get a trueer reading by going Pre. Even the ford's stock that have a CAT (yes some do) can produce some high EGT's. SD03 is right you'll need a tap for the hole you drill.
DO a search on www.dieselstop.com and you'll see tons of picks and instlation instructions on how to do both the Boost and EGT guage
