Use a heat gun.....I had to replace the mirrors on mine and they are heated/powered.....they pop out of the plastic ***'bly and the heater is glued to the back of the glass.....i usedd a heat gun a pulled off the heater and stuck it to the new glass while it was still hot.....they still work today and i did that 3 years ago.

So did you just heat them up real well and get a screw driver in there to pry the glass off? The last thing I want is to break the glass Once you're in there, does the motor and glass holder pop out, too?

I install glass for the dealership i work for...the one thing i will say is...glass is meant to go in...Not come out, Chances are that you will break it, but as said before a heat gun will work the best but just be careful not to concentrate the heat all in one spot or you will distort the glass.

No, we popped the whole assembly out of the mirror housing.....disconnectedx the heater harness.....then layed in on the table and heated it real good and peeled the heater back from the glass....

The mirror "holder" will pop out with a litl force.....it took me forever to figure out....i just turned the mirror all the way to the outside and pryed it out of the housing...

you should be able to do this and see the holder inside the housing. Good luck

I have a cracked mirror on my passenger side with the OEM towing mirrors. I stopped at an auto glass place and they ordered a new mirror (glass) and said it would be $25 installed.

I thought that was very reasonable, maybe you can check with one of those places and see what they would charge to just pop it off for you?

This was Champion Glass (Speedy Auto Glass) not sure if they are national or not.

i broke it the first time i took it out, waited 4months until i found one one ebay. So i went out and bought dentist picks......yes dentist picks, I pushed the mirror to the left and used the picks and a couple small screwdrivers to unclip the mirror from the "clip ring" i did take off the whole mirror off the door it was easier to work on. Good Luck!
