fuel pin washer

a while back i took out the little nylon washer where the fuel pin meets the rubber at the AFC. Now I'm sitting here thinking if i want more fuel, i need to get that washer back in! doesn't that basically pre-stage the pin a bit lower just like the smoke screw would do? and at WOT the pin goes deeper with the washer than without it?
smoke is not a problem, or egt, just looking for all the free HP i can squeeze out.

the nylon washer does nothing besides keeping the fuel pin from going down. the only performance reason to use it would be if the fuel pin was going so far down that you were going past the deepest part of the ramp.
