Fuel pin

I have attached a pic of my pin. The bottom of it there is a stamp that says "70", I read all over about setting it to the deep part. I may be dumb but it looks the same all of the way around to me.
And also what is the white nylone washer there for, I have read about a washer before but don't know why it's there, to me it will limit how far the pin can travle, I guess my real question is do I get rid of it or what?
Finaly is there any way to tell how far the star wheel has already been moved down? Like a fatory height or something, so I know where I'm at now as compared to stock?

Thanks in advance
Justin

looking at your picture the deepest side is on the left. the nylon washer does limit the travel of the fuel "cone" allowing the other fuel pin to only travel so far out. some guys remove the washer all together or they shave some material off of it. as you can see, the pin would only be able to travel so far until it reaches the upper lip of the cone.

yes, definitely the left side. You could rotate it some more and maybe get a photo of a deeper area.

Ok now I see it, guess I am dumb! So by what I'm seeing, it is already set mostly at the deep portion of the pin, you can see the greese markings from the afc lever. And by looking at how far it travels I could remove the washer and make it travel all the way to the skiny part of the pin? Is there any such thing as it going too far? I would think the afc lever wouldn't be able to go past where the pin has the step back out.

If you take the washer out the pin can go too deep and defuel you a little. From the looks of the grease mark, you should use a spacer about half the thickness of the washer or just shave it to half thickness.

Ok got that done with, shaved a little over half of the washer and moved the pin a little bit, now AFC lever traves to the bottom of the pin/smallest part of the pin.
Now how to tell where the star wheel is from the factory, I'm preaty sure this one has been moved. Is there a "factory" amount of turns, or is it all just test and tune.

Just mess with it until you are happy. Make at least 2 turns at a time, it is not a real sensitive adjustment.
