A few years ago, I read about a cooling mod (can't find the thread now) done to the rear of the cylinder head or block......a fitting and tube or hose added for improved cooling around cylinder #6. Anyone on here done this? And if so, is it actually worthwhile? I'm doing a clutch swap, so that area will be easily accessible......

Basically the heater core attachment around the #5 exhaust side is relocated to the rearmost plug at the #6 exhaust port by swapping the plug for the inlet and shortening the hose.

This is thought to better cool the rear of the head which is in kind of a dead end of the circulation loop.

I was gonna eventually do it because it makes sense to add a little life to the engine, jsut haven't gotten to it.

Thanks Sixslug....knew it was something like that, but I couldn't remember and a search didn't turn it up. might just do it since everything's off.

Hey let us know how it goes. Also if you think it helped. Sounds easy enough might do it next coolant swap.
