Anti drain back valve for compressor??

I need to install a anti drain back valve for my air horns, the compressor is allowing the tank to drain out over night and I want to place a one way valve to keep this from happening.

Where can I find a valve for this application??? (120 PSI range)

Search http://www.mcmaster.com/ for "Spring Check valve" You'll go right to the page & see several sizes and types. Watch the temp range, if you are in a cold winter climate. I think most of what I saw on the middle of the first page should work for you.

When I broke some of my exhaust brake fittings I tried the stuff from Home Depot and they don't fit the 1/4" Viair air line very well. I couldn't get them to seal. Finally had to get parts from Pacbrake. Must have wasted $20 of fittings. I won't be using them again!

All you need is one of these.
They are made by SMC, other manufacturers make similiar products and should be available from an industrial pneumatic supply house. I use these all the time in industrial applications.

This is a check valve built into a straight tubing coupler. All you need to do is cut the tubing and insert the ends of the tubing into each end of the valve. Simple.....

It depends on the application. Viton is a little more resistant to heat and chemicals than Buna-N, but it has a slightly higher durometer, means it is a little harder.

In regular sealing applications, Buna-n seals better, but if you need better chemical or heat resistance, better to go with Viton.
