aftermarket radio question
OK fellas, I have a buddy with a 2003 Dodge Cummins, and he is looking to add a aftermarket amp and remote wire to his existing factory radio. He is looking to add the RCA wire adapter and a remote wire, anyone know how to do this, or what wires he needs to tie into? He does not want to go to Circuit City or Best Buy or any of those stores, because he has been burned by them in the past.
thanks in advance fellas!

He has to order a High to LO pass filter. It takes an amplified signal and brings it down to a low level signal. So you splice it into the speaker wires and it drops down to low level. RCA cables carry a weak signal to the amp. An amplified signal would carry distortion.

Here is a link to Crutchfield. But I am sure you Local Hack Shack will also sell this part

OK guys, thanks for all the responses, but I was looking as to what wires I need to splice into, and what fuse you tapped to use for the remote wire.
he already has the RCA adapter, and wants to hook it into his factory radio
he has a factory cassette/Sirius/FM-AM radio.
thanks again!

Go down to your local Dodge dealer and ask them for a wiring Scheme for the 22 pin harness. They have it. Or order that part of Crutchfield and ask them. I bet they also have it

I found this diagram but it is for the 04 22 pim. But you may find what you need on this site. It's a pda http://peripheralelectronics.com/per...io%20wiring%22
