Are either of you guy's using an external speaker. I guess you could mount one to the wide mount. I just hate having thing's off center. Drive's me nut's. Who said I was ****.
Believe it or not,,,all I have on my Magnum is the bracket hanging on the edge of the cup holder. The cb sit's on the floor. Everything is just kinda wedged in there. It's pretty stable. Of course I want to use something better. Just never got around to it, and it's been like that for 2 year's.
Would there be say 3" or 4"'s between the cb and the cup holder, when folded down. Then I could use the narrow mount and either keep my speaker like in the pic,,,,or come up with something different, but still keep the cb centered. I hope all that make's sense. Hope you can get the idea by the pic's.

I do use a small external speaker that is wedged between the 4x4 shifter and bottom of console. You can see it in the pics. It is small but funtional. The distance between the cup holders down and the CB will depend on the width/height of the CB. Mine is maybe 2" at the closest point and my CB is not very high. Clear as mud.
These pics may help.

Thank's guy's.
How are you mounting the cb to the mount. Look's like double sided tape. Or is that just an isolator.
I ordered my cb from a place on-line. I think if I opened it up to mount it they would void my warranty. I'll have to check on that one.

I took the mount that came with the C.B. and placed it againist the mount that I ordered from Geno's and clamped it. I then took a drill and drilled the mount I got from Geno's and attached the two using a couple of bolts. Once I figure out how to post pics, I will take a pic of it and post it on here.

What kind of CB is everyone running? I was looking at a Cobra 29 nightwatch. Also is anyone running Firestick antenna's? That is the combo that I was thinking about going with.

Thank's again guy's. The velcro sound's like a good idea. Then you could at least remove the cb easily.
The General Lee is really popular. But it's a $$high end radio$$.
If you don't need something like that, then I hear an awful lot of guy's running the Cobra 29's, and they sound real good too. They just won't get out as far in the stock form.
As far as anntena's, the Wilson 1000 and 5000 are great model's. I alway's hear thing's my running buddies don't because I have the Wilson 5000 on the roof. They say you need the height most importantly. Two anti are not better than one on a pick-up truck. The dual's need to be 9' apart to be effective.
I'm no expert. This is just stuff I've read here, and on different forum's.
