Commander/ Rail Pressure
Commander/ Rail Pressure
Trying to hook up the rail pressure to monitor it and I am confussed!!!
Here is what quad told me to do but where is the rail??? I find with all my harness there is four wires except one is that the one.. It has three
On the 2nd harness or the "fuel pressure" harness you need to hook the green wire to the middle wire on the rail.
If you are running a module you need to hook to the middle wire and make sure it is on the connector that is going into the actual sensor.
Then just turn it on in one of the display menus.
Thanks

Ok, lets start at the very top.
The Commander has a grey cable coming out the back with 2 green plugs and one very small black plug.
One of these green plugs is used for the main, standard wiring harness known as Harness #1. In this harness you have a red wire for power, black wire for ground, a set of 2 wires (black and white) for the Xzillaraider control, blue for boost, orange for coolant, and purple?? for transmission.
Now, to get the rail pressure reading you must have harness #2 also known as the Fuel Pressure harness. This section plugs into the other green plug on the grey cable coming from the Commander.
In this harness you have a green wire for rail pressure, yellow wire for fuel pressure, brown wire for rpm (not supported at this second) and a small group of wires going into another small connector.
In this harness you use the green wire and connect it to the middle wire on the rail pressure sensor and booya, you have a rail pressure gauge!
Now, originally I asked if you had the fuel pressure kit and you said yes. This is the first and foremost requirement!
Let me know if that helps.
