Better check with your employer now because the medical spending accounts are getting new restrictions in 2011 I believe. I think it has to do with over the counter stuff but I'm not certain.

It would be nice to get rid of glasses. Always get steamed and dirty plus sweat drops. But have gotten used to safety of poly lenses on the job. Think I would do one eye at a time just in case lol.

I was told that after forty or so, the effects were not as good. Anyone know if this is true?

Just so everyone knows, I bust chops but i have the utmost respect and love for our troops who keep us safe. Including madman. Their sacrifice gives us our freedom. I hope I did not offend our hero's.

Dont feel bad, i was called DTRs Whiny Baby for a week lol.

Anyways, 15 digger you are right on the money. I do residential and cemetery groundskeeping, and it is hot and muggy all season. I sweat so bad I might as well be in the pool, so between the dust and sweat and everything knocking my clip on sunglasses off, I just cant take it anymore.

Wyo, I have heard that age does change the effects of lasik, the older the less effective it can be. I guess thats why the analysis is important.

age doesn't so much reverse the effects of the lasik, however, the natural hardening of the of the lens makes it harder for your muscles to make the adjustments needed to focus.

I had LASIK done in May of 2005, after 40 years of wearing glasses.

My distant vision is 20 / 20 - no problems there.

LASIK does not fix close vision. I have reading glasses all over the place.

Not sure I have had any issues other than my eyes are dry often. Drops fix that.

Am 50 now and had Lasik done 4 years ago, one eye for reading and one eye for distance, all i need now are sunglasses depth perception is a little off every now and then, but otherwise one of the best things I ever did for myself! Would do it again in a heart beat, wouldn't hesitiate a bit.
