I might try that w/ the high beams on w/ the fogs mod. I just need someone to help me w/ the mod as I don't trust myself w/ that kind of wiring. Also when I went out to purchase the parts it cost me $50. I returned them to use that money for my some of my vacation this last summer.

i really like my old truck, 62K,
the the other night i rode in my buddies 08 GMC and there was a world of difference in his headlights, they were much better than my std lights.

The auotzone silverstar bulbs, about $45 made a world of difference and they installed them for me.
I ran the Silverstar bulbs in my last truck, the lifespan was not satisfactory. The first one burned out in 6 months, I replaced it but the second one lasted 8 months.

I just ran across the bulbzilla kit in a drawer, I purchased it a couple of years ago and forgot all about it Guess I need to buy some 9006 bulbs and give it a shot. At 6 years and 66K miles I'm still running my stock bulbs, so it might make a difference to put new stock bulbs in.

I haven't had any luck with Silverstars either, they don't last long.

I used Silverstars from the day I bought the truck, thinking they were the best available. After doing a lot of reading on how to make our semi-decent lights better, I stumbled across this website: Daniel Stern Lighting. After I read a lot of the articles, I decided I was tired of replacing my Silverstars every year, especially if they weren't all that good, so I bought a set of the Philips Xtreme Vision and haven't regretted that decision in the least. The light extends much more evenly across the roadway, I can see further up the road and into the ditches, and oncoming traffic doesn't flash me because the stupid blue light isn't there to blind them. And did I mention they're $20/set cheaper than the Silverstars?
