Still beating the programmer & 'delete' horse
Sorry for continuing to beat this horse but I gotta ask, Are there any dissatisfied folks out there that have added a Smarty and/or done the deletes? Regrets? I swore I'd wait until the warranty was over on 08' until I did anything aftermarket. Well I'm in the last year of the warranty and planning on starting with a Smarty Jr when that time comes. I may do the deletes as I get braver. I generally believe 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and my truck operates great, except for the annoying CEL every so often that disappears on it's own a few days later, but I like the idea of the programmer and it's features. I've followed the testimonials of those that have had great success with the programmers/deletes, are there any nay sayers? Thanks

Huge regrets. Makes you want to do more, and more, and more, and more
See what I mean.
But still so worth it.

Like Blake said, you will hate it. Clean engine oil for 3,000 miles, 5-6 mpg better fuel economy in town and 4 mpg better on the highway. No more "regeneration required NOW" messages and you will miss the leisurely 45 minute drives on the highway while the computer dumps a gallon and a half of diesel into the exhaust and a cooler running motor that will last (although, there are many 6.7's with emissions intact that have 500,000 miles on them still going strong, but all those motors are worked hard)
