1998.5 24 Valve - Cold Engine Hard Start
Hey Guys,
I recently replaced the head gasket on my truck and now I've been having hard start issues when cold. Before the replacement the truck would fire up right away with no issues, but now if it's left overnight it cranks for about 30 second before starting. I thought it may have been losing prime so the connector tubes have been taken apart again, but there are no sign of any leaks in the fuel system downstream of the VP44. I have a FASS pump at the tank and even if I let it run for 30 seconds before trying to start I still have the same problem.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.
Cheers,

Hi Sammy3400
What are your overnight temps?
Are you plugging the block heater in?
Are your grid heaters in good working condition/connected/firing?
What causes you to believe it is a fueling issue?
Have you pulled any ECM codes?
Kurt
