Well, if the target tools are wrenches to remove the VE pump, then the gear removal tool from Torx is a must have tool also.
With all the discussion on idle adjustments I’ve seen over the years, the L shaped idle adjustment tool(genosgarage) is a must have, but to fully do it right(if you don’t have a tach) is an inductive timing light, laser shot onto the harmonic balancer. No guessing or using the shake on your mirrors to guess on the idle.

I've read just about everything you posted and archived and stickied!! It was your post on checking ECM that got me trying to fix my old piece.
