ANOTHER Conversion Question
Found a '92 gasser 250 4x4, 93,000 miles, with a locked-in-second Getrag, new tires, engine runs good, not too beat, single cab for less than a grand. Was thinking about converting my D250 Clubcab into a 5 speed 4x4. What am I looking at? I Know the bell housing off the gasser won't work. I understand the V10 bell housing will. Is this truck a good donor or no?

Mark Nixon put a gasser NV4500 behind a cummins but had to change the input shaft and bearings. The problem is the rest of the internals aren't as strong and will eventually break. He considers his a "light duty" NV4500.
