What I'm calling the "tophat" are the pieces that are on the main fuel lever inside the VE pump that the governor spring attaches to. I purchased a new governor spring and went to install it and found the existing spring was hooked directly to the lever and I don't want to install my new spring in that manner. Willing to buy a complete core VE pump if necessary. Tried Cummins but they only service the pump as a complete unit. Truck down as of this date and need it. Any help appreciated.
