I might be moving to VA beach, what all is there to do around there? Any good drag strips close? (that's the most important question!)

There are a few of us around.

The only drag strip I know of is just this side of Richmond.

 

Thanks, Butch. Still don't know if I'm getting this or not... They called me the while I was on the road to come to Fl, so I have not had a chance to talk to the people that decide my fate.

 

I know Timinva drives all the way to Richmond to race his truck. There are lots of members in that area though. And I don't know if anyone told you, but there is a beach there.....
Some of the best members are further North though....

 

I'm not much of a beach person... grew up in Florida, probably went 10 times my whole life before I joined the Corps.

I heard about those northern guys...

 

Yeah! They all want to go to the beach!!!!!

 

Virginia Motorsports Park has a great drag racing facility down in Dinwiddie, Va. 45 min south from the City of Richmond.

 

Just South of Moyock, NC is Dennis Anderson's Muddy Motor Sports Park. Morgans Corner by Elizabeth City NC has truck and tractor pulls. Northeast Dragway is a 1/8 mile IHRA dragstrip located near Hertford, North Carolina. Probably others around , but your getting into oval track country.

Madhat, Do you like camping and roller dyno's? We have had some impressive numbers put up in Clairemont. I'm pushing for another dyno day this summer and it is not far from you.

 

No new word yet... still coming.

Boatnik, I'm not much of a camper... but I like a dyno. Gonna get to one in two weeks here, see if I can break 700...

Might be seeing you guys early next year...
