The 285/75s are a taller tire...........34'' or so. But they are not wide and heavy like 35s. As far as I know, I have only seen that size with Nitto and Toyo.

..
he is running a 16" wheel and the common size for those are 285/75/16. The 17" wheel is where the 285/70's show up.

Ok, thanks. I guess I was thinking he was running 285/70/16.

Oh well.............I stand by my point...that if anybody is going to a 17'' wheel.....that the 285/75/17 is a great compromise tire between looks, performance, etc.

Ouch!

I thought I saw a complete motor on Craigslist, but can't remember which one. If I see it again, I'll send you a link.

Just got the truck home on the back of a ford damnit. The rod came out both sides hell it even shattered the starter housing. Left a trail of oil about a foot wide into their parking lot and then dumped half of it in the parking lot and then the rest when it went on the flatbed. That was a huge mess. Felt a little bad untill the shop manager threatened to call the hazmat crew. So now to figure out where to get a new longblock and what years will fit my head/ accesories.

Good possibility. Do they have any "camping facilities" down there?

While I'm here.....Does anyone have a gas powered post hole digger? I got the old hand held out today, but it don't fit my hands any more.

Speaking of that anyone know where I can scrap up 2 15x12's? Lug pattern does not matter. Will have to cut them out and weld in new centers. Got a good deal on some 44 Boggers for my Toyota/Cummins project.

I plan to be there with some friends from back home. If my injectors make it here in time I would like to see what kinda difference they make.
