Texas DTR #8 March Meet!
It should be ok since this is a large covered arena. This rainy weather (WHICH WE HAVE NEEDED!!!) should mostly be over by Saturday anyway.
I doubt im going to make it though as I have so many loose ends to tie up before I go out of town Sunday. (I was sick for the past week
)
I hope everything goes as planned and you guys have a blast!

This is my first time to consider participating in something like this and I have one question about the rules. Are the bolts in the exhaust required for every class where a truck competes without a muffler? And is this to prevent parts from shooting out the tailpipe in the event of turbo failure?

*If the muffler or catalytic converter have been changed from stock, two 3/8 in. diameter bolts must be installed through the exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within one inch of each other as close to the turbo as is practical.
They look like this...

It took me about 15min and $4 from Loews to do and is a lot less expensive than the stack or turn up pipe.
SilverLine makes 2 parts for this: (turn up pipe)
TK20124 - 4" Turn Up Tip
TK20125 - 5" Turn Up Tip

Yes, the bolts are always a good idea if you have completely straight exhaust...it keeps CARANAGE aka blown turbo parts, from flying out and hurting people.
they are floating around somewhere. i think Robert might have them, i rememebr seeing them on photobucket.
i thought i heard of a track requireing stacks or a turn up, and i believe there reason was so when you were pullin ahead of your opponent they could still see the track somewhat. or i just dreamt it who knows
