Noob here need help with tranny..

I just acquired an 05 2500 for a unbeatable deal only thing is it needs a new tranny. Truck is a 4wd it has 197k miles I got it from a family member that owns his own buisness. I plan on selling the truck once i get the trans rebuilt, so If anyone knows of any good shops they can recommend in the dfw area I sure would appreciate it.

James Northum in Midlothian can fix you right up. check out his website www.jamestranstech.com He can do anything from stock rebuild to fully built. Give him a call. He is sometimes hard to get a hold of so leave a message and he will call you back

Your best bet is to get a cheap stock rebuild.

Thats what im looking to do Im just seeing what shops you guys have had good luck with and shops to steer clear of..... you know what I mean?

I've been talking to james about it and he is mostly likely the guy im going to go with. Now I just got to figure how im going to get the truck out there.....
