DTR #8 November and December 2009 Thread
I have always had pretty good luck at Dodge City of McKinney. I've just quoted to them what I can buy them for and ask if they are willing to match it. They would rather take a skinny deal than no deal. Go see Lonnie! Nice guy.
Im sure they will give me a break on the rotors, im just wondering if they are really needed. My brakes are still working fine....I just think my front pads are getting thin and want to take care of this before a problem develops.

Well I did buy new front rotors for the truck at the McKinney Dodge dealer. $82 each....which is employee pricing. They actually quoted me cheaper than the $88 I found online. ($124 msrp!)
Once I tear into this thing I want to be able to complete it and get back on the road right away, if needed, and run another 125K miles.
So I have 2 new front rotors, front and rear pads, a 'GALLON' of DOT 3 fluid, and antiseize. Anything else im missing here?
..
Don't know about the 3rd gens, but on the 2nd gens you need a
Torx bit to get the caliper pin out. I tore up the head of mine by using a standard hex bit. Ended up getting some spares pins for the next time.
